Re: Boiler Room...whoever wrote the screenplay for that had obviously worked in a bucket shop...the accurate portrayals of what actually happens in a bucket shop were mind boggling. Probably the most realistic movie about Wall Street ever.

Watching "Joel" transform himself from card room operator to sheister was the best for me...my dad died my freshman year at LSU and my mom cut me off after that...to cover my tuition at LSU, I became a bookie...it was like printing money, especially in the Jerry Stovall era at LSU (I think LSU covered 20% ATSpread during his tenure).

Only time in my life when money was no problemo...remember walking into Coleman Porsche-Audi with $15,000 cash in my pocket, wanting to buy a new Audi 5000s...I stood in the showroom for 20 minutes before anyone would even wait on me...I remember the salesman looking at me with this look of "get the f*ck out of here kid and don't waste my time..." when I told him what I wanted to buy. Ahh, those were the days. Like Joel said in Boiler Room, "I was providing my clients with a service they wanted."
