From Friday:

DJN: =DJ ADC Telecom Drops -2: Co's Cable Exposure Small -Analyst
(Dow Jones 12/15 12:06:16)
NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Talk about your guilt by association.
Although ADC Telecommunications Inc. (ADCT) beat Wall Street's expectations
in the fourth quarter and maintained its bullish 2001 projections just two
weeks ago, on Friday the stock got hammered after peer Antec Corp. (ANTC)
lowered guidance for that company's fourth quarter.
Shares of ADC recently traded down 11%, or $2.50, to $20.31, with volume
already at 10.9 million, compared with average daily volume of 12.6 million.
We have had several earnings announcements by companies in the cable
equipment space," said Lawrence Harris, telecommunications equipment analyst
with Josephthal & Co. "It's a tough environment and a challenging market
overall."
But Harris is quick to point out something that investors selling ADC were
likely missing Friday.
"ADC does supply some equipment to the cable industry, but our view is ADC
has a good mix of business," he said.
