If you're interested in banking stuff, have a look at UBS. (NYSE traded). Beside being a Swiss bank (smile), they are the world's biggest asset manager. They had a big merger 3 years ago and got the standard merger problems afterwards. And the "Long Term Hedge" desaster on top. The stock price is still depressed a little bit. They bought Paine Webber some months ago, which is nicely fitting. Almost no overlapping business. They are up 30% since February a still a good value. Not exciting though.

Boris,

I will check them out. I saw them yesterday when I was reviewing the banks but put aside foreign banks, thinking they would not rally strongly off a US interest rate cut. But with the info you provided, UBS may prove interesting.

Thanks.
