GWB never presided over a stock market that lost 50% of its value in 9 months. Hope he never does.

Well. To be fair, it didn't take much not to harm this economy. Additionally the unemployment rate and budget "surpluses" (hah!) are mere results of the economy that was designed during the Bush years. So the economy is no real Clinton accomplishment.

Ultimately, then, how can we really judge Clinton?

Clinton had a golden opportunity to ride the backs of Reagan and Bush, to go down in history as a decent president. He screwed it up by poking an intern with a dang cigar and lying about it. That tells you what kind of a man he really is.

You know when Jimmy Carter was president, the economy was at a 50 year low. I never thought for one minute that he should receive all the blame for how bad things were. He was and is a descent man that lacked the insights required to change the flow. Ronald Reagan on the other hand was a man of vision and allowed people to feel good about their president for the first time in years.

Please take a second out of your busy schedule and tell me exactly what clinton did that allowed the robust economy to continue? And telling me that "at least he did not screw it up" is no answer.
