No coincidence. It was the best Balmer could do in light of the circumstances. No love lost b/w Steve and Larry, and I think Steve is more inclined than Bill to respond "in-kind" to Larry's jabs. Consider MSFT's announcement a MSFT jab.

Give'em a point for raining on ORCL's parade but its certainly not going to change the way the fight is going, or how it will ultimately end up.
