Greg, no one is saying that there is a "slow down of IT buying". What MSFT warned of and others are talking about is a decrease in the rate of increase of IT buying.

Greg, here's something regarding IT -- my isp is going bankrupt. They took CPQ for $25 million in investment earlier this year ($5 million equity and $20 million debt), purchased a bunch of other ISPs, layed a bunch of cable, and now they are going to duck out from all the money they owe everyone. Bit of a ripple effect -- no sure though how isolated this incident is, and whether it is a net negative for IT spending. Why? Well I have two web sites with them on a shared server, and now I'm going to get a dedicated server at a bunch more per month.

All this stuff is happening on the sly because my ISP is a private company. My goal is to get my sites moved in the next few days before all the help decides to walk out.
