Tom today was the day they rebalanced and reloaded the NDX index, main index fund that is effected is, shocker, QQQ. anyway, realmoney warned that there would be a 1.8B sell program at the close since not only the shares of the dumped stocks had to be sold, but also, since rebalancing was required, at lot of other stuff had to be sold too to accommodate the new stocks higher caps so, that was probably a good art of the sell off, though from what was posted most of the rally was just short covering before the weekend 4th straight scale in, a record. finally 90% invested, also a record Bob
