Currently we are enjoying a long term boom due to "digilization". But long term boom will also lead to relatively long term busts after technology application stabilizes a bit.

<<I do expect a crisis in the high- tech sector, and people will get hurt. >>

A big problem is the .coms folding. People thought just because someone was selling oranges on the internet that was the greatest thing .... 2 problems. 1. Some people like to fondle there food before buying it. 2. If it's so great anyone with a computer can get in the same business. Really more competition than 3-D world because of lower start up costs.

Box makers and software got a boost with the Y2k scare. Anytime there is a run on a product it takes time for demand to rebuild. Chip makers have been slammed. Does anyone really think there won't be a demand for chips? My new Jeep has a chip in the KEY. 80 scoots for a key. I got a third key that is a door only key. It'll start the engine but only for a second.

If Greenspan waits til March to cut rates it may be too late for the Nasdaq. Let's hope he hears the signal soon.
