A-ROD's contract is unbelievable, I guess on school of thought is that he gives you power numbers like a first baseman, while leaving that space open for even more power. You probably have to go back to Honus Wagner in the first decade of the 20th century to get a Shortstop, who is thought to be such an offensive force. Cal Ripken, had nice offense numbers, but Wagner was the best player in the game before Ty Cobb became a fixture and Ripken never got to that status. John
