Pasquarelli is the senior writer at Sportsline, probably the top NFL writer around. However, he is opinionated, and I don't always agree with him.

The saga of Washington owner Daniel Snyder continues. His team mailed in
yet another game, this one a 24-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the final
game at Pittsburgh's Three Rivers Stadium. Pittsburgh broadcaster Myron
Cope, long known for his unique and irreverent style, persisted in calling
Snyder's team the "Wash Redfaces," referring to the notion that the team
ought to be embarrassed for its play this season.

Snyder sent a team rep to WDVE producer Greg Watson requesting that Cope
desist.

"That is preposterous," Cope said, on air. "You kidding me, Greg? Is he
listening to the broadcast or watching the game? I've been broadcasting for 31
years. (Team president) Dan Rooney and the Steelers executives never once
questioned anything I said. I've called Cincinnati 'the Bungles' for years, and
(owner) Mike Brown never said a word.

"If that boy billionaire (Snyder) thinks he can shut me up, he should stick his
head in a can of paint."
