Well it's probably the kiss-of-death but I finally got Schwab to enable level-1 options trading on my account. I have been meaning to do this for years but it's critical in todays market. I was fortunate to pick up Jan $30 calls for $3 1/4 at the darkest part of todays action. With the backlog that SUNW is carrying, and their growing dominance, I expect their earnings will be very positive, unlike all the PC shops who are suffering from their own successes and excesses.

The MSFT warning is the first of many nails in their coffin, if you think SUNW is overvalued at a PE ratio of 51 and growth of 60%, wait 'til Microsoft's PE ratio drops to meet its growth (whatever a PE ratio is). My prediction: SUNW will pass MSFT in market cap by the end of 2002.

I expect to be well in the money on Jan 20, and may even exercise the calls.
