Oh, jeez. Driving with a .10 isn't the same as veering into the oncoming lane of traffic and killing a family of five. I have handled a lot of DWI's. The only guys I ever represented who drove into the other lane had BACs (blood alcohol limits) over .20, like around .26 or so. Too drunk to stand up when the police got them out of the car. A BAC of .10 used to be legal here in Virginia.

Back when it wasn't a big deal, I drove home from parties and bars after drinking, regularly, and so did many, many respectable people I knew including Judges. Now it's a big deal, and responsible people don't do it any more.
