I anticipate the opportunity to feed and nurture a significant political movement (backlash) to change the system that resulted in this Great Electoral Fiasco. DS, cancel your bus ticket...you will not have to demonstrate. the palm beach post carried a front page story yesterday announcing, "a bipartisan panel to find a way to make sure it never happens again." initial cost estimates are $200 million...the state is pushing for a 2002 solution. i was glad to see the bipartisan effort highlighted. the previous ballot was designed and approved by democrats...a little republican input will no doubt solve the problem. uw i still cannot figure out how you can dimple a ballot...when i touched the stylus to my ballot the chads fell out.

I will constantly remind my narrow minded Republican friends DS, it is certainly going to be a different white house. 8 years ago at this time, we were getting our daily briefings and national political philosophy from statesmen and spokespersons like "kid" stephenopolous and "snake" carville. so far, i give Bush high marks for his leadership picks in fulfilling his promise to restore honor and dignity to the white house. uw
