Clappie, i cannot worry about interest rates although i believe inflation is HERE and higher rates are coming at some point.

i think, too, there is a high chance for a rebound in the nas, although i do not have any interest in tangling with it or any high tech stock now. i think a rebound will be temporary, fast and furious and would reverse pretty much while you might be out buying a loaf of bread.

i think what you buy in the golds depends on your budget and goals. some cheapies are drooy, hl (silver) and corner bay on toronto bay.to

i would not try to sweat what and where you buy the golds but i'd have a mixture of them all. hgmcy on the s.african side and hm on the american side are my # 1 picks. i like fn.to (but that is only listed in toronto and is more of a royalty play). nem is well liked by joe 6 pack. if you can afford a few hundred or more nem, i'd buy some, sell calls on it and use the $ from the calls to buy a bit the specs i mentioned. the primos from selling calls on something like nem are pretty sweet.

IF you are gonna play, again i'll say i don't want to see anybody not participate in a rise in pog, so that's why i would diversify.

as far as more info on golds, we on the clown thread talk about it a lot. some sites to look at are goldminingoutlook.com and gold-eagle.com
