You seem to think that Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher is a tiny little law firm with only a few partners and that a case such as this meant big bucks for them. Did you even bother to check them out? Here is a link:

It is a HUGE firm and this case will have no great impact, if any impact at all, on any future success of the firm (one of the largest law firms in the United States). Your inference that this weighed heavily on Justice Scalia is hilariously funny.
