It is very sad. The propensity to rely on ethnic solidarity has gone beyond reason in many places. Too many people expect to be adversaries on the basis of splitting the pie among ethnic groups. In New York City, the two largest ethnic groups are Jews and Blacks, and the subterranean contest for primacy in city politics has directly fueled incidents like Crown Heights.......
