You may take comfort in the knowledge that it takes 60 votes to accomplish anything of consequence in the United States Senate. The filibuster is alive, well, and often used.

My biggest fear is that villain will be China. The seeds for this have already been sown and if the GOP starts to implode on itself, which is very possible considering the Tom DeLays of the world, or if there are continued economic problems here, watch out.

A distraction, a rallying point, will be trotted into view.

China beware.
