Do you find it relevant that the "frighteningly stupid and incompetent" woman was black, rather than white?

Do you intend to say that black women in general are stupid and incompetent? If not, why mention her race?

Joycelyn Elders is opinionated. She is not stupid. I doubt she is incompetent.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

HiTech,

I did not agree with all of Elder's opinions, but she had guts to follow her convictions. I do respect that.

Hitech,

The problem that Surgeon General Jocylin Elder's
had was that she was not part of the Pro-homosexual
agenda of the Clinton Whitehouse. She made it
clear after she was confirmed that she was not
going to try and legitamize homosexual behaviour
to America and the Gay extremists set out to destroy
her. They finally bagged her when some gay guy
with a horrendous lisp asked her this rambling
question in front of some United Nations Health
Conference about how masterbation should be taught
it schools. She looked clearly annoyed at the
silly question and sent back a smart ass answer.
In Washington where reporters play "gotcha" with
this kind of stuff, careers can be made or broken
in an instant. That broke her back as Surgeon
General. Its really too bad...she was smart,
enthusiastic, and spoke the truth...something
that the Clinton Whitehouse did not apprechiate.
