I'm violating my own policy, but it's cause I like you. The problem I have with "tools of god" is that inevitably, what their god is telling them is different than what my god tells me, and what the nextv guys god or lack of god tells him. (Feel free to substitute nature, higher power, soul, spirit, universal spirit, anti-entropic force, void, big bang starter or absence of such power.) Recently the Pope said all good people go to heaven, and that's seems very godlike and generous policy, but maybe you're not Catholic, so that wouldn't fly with you... on and on it goes. Within the last week one of my daughter's friend's parents said that when I say I feel most fulfilled, most in awe of the glory of earth, nature, and life, most aware of my soul and potential, when the sun caresses my face and the wind plays in my hair, ala K. Gibran, it is really... Are you ready? Get this! Satan seducing me. away from a relationship with the one true god. HER god, of course. I hope it's not your god. If there is a god, I can't believe she is so mean. Sounds more like people. The narrow path strikes me as ungodly too. If god is so small and petty and mean and punitive, why would they want to be with god? Heaven sounds like hell to me. Leave it to each person to interact with or not interact with "god." Let god fight her own fights. Let's not presume to know the mind of god and legislate it.
