Steve - "Florida made themselves the laughing stock of the world with help from both Bush and Gore."

There is not a state in the union whose election process could have stood up to the scrutiny that Florida's received.

I have worked precinct level elections in N.Y. (years ago, in my misspent youth) and N.Y. never had less than 250,000 - 300,000 "void or blank". We never tried to pretend that we had to "discern" the voters intent. (Of course, there the cheating occurred before the voting, not after.)

Wanna bet that in 4 years Palm Beach county is still using punch-card ballots? <g>
