Re: error. No problem, I have been staring at so many charts tonight I understand totally. My eyes are glazed over and unable to focus on anything at a different distance than my screens.

Though there seems to be some disagreement in my indicators, it still appears we should close this week higher with the move up starting Monday/Tuesday. Maybe AG will say nice things to console the market a while, it may just be the pre-Xmas damage control but my stuff says we need to bounce. Hopefully a nice dip early Monday then up from there.

After that? It still looks like down or at least a bearish trading range. The real problem is I can't see one reasn to put in a big sustained move up. Even if earnings are good this quarter, they are only going to deteriorate Q1 and Q2. Telecoms have no money for buildouts, big multinationals are seeing slowdowns and utility prices have to be killing the manufacturers now. The market expected a rise in unemployment claims and instead got a drop of 30K. I guess I will get in trouble for being non-politically correct once again but we need more people out of work to ease the pressure. Our only hope is that the cold weather just made those out of work decide to not sludge out in the cold and hope for better weather to go to the unemployment office later but my guess is seasonal jobs are taking up the slack so we won't see a drop until after the holidays.

I have heard from two different sources that used car inventories are getting large and new car sales are obviously slowing as well as reported in the news.

Good Luck,

Lee
