I like this company and have made a bunch of money trading it lately. But 2001 earnings are supposed to be $.25. That is a 300 p/e. 2002 are supposed to be $.75 that is still 100 p/e on earnings almost two years out. The market is not supporting these types of p/e's any more even with a company as hot as avnx.

As for the insiders they always have a better inside knowledge of the company then we do. The lockup for avnx was a while back and the stock was a lot higher then - why did they not sell then and are selling now? My guess is that they realize that market conditions have changed or even worse they know that Cap Ex spending is starting to have an effect on avnx's sales.

To just write off that may 144's that are totally cashing out is IMO not good for your trading health. You are right in that a slow down in Cap Ex will not kill avnx. But if they warn the stock at these levels will be given a 50% hair cut over night.

I will continue to trade this one interday until it comes down to a more reasonable level or we get out of warnings season.
