Thanks for the leads, Lee. I hope I have enough hard disk space left for all this microsoft junk. -g- And yes, we reinstalled the original version of win95 which was the first batch released (I remember being sort of pissed about that because MUEI wouldn't give it to me for free and the machine was only a month old) and I know we overwrote 4 or so files that were created later than this win95 software, so that is clearly a problem. What a way to waste a day ..... off to the download site ....

I'm all fixed up. The updated microsoft files didn't take long at all. That Win32.Matrix virus was infecting 329 different files! Wonder where it came from? E-mail?
