Bland has indeed been abrupt with a few posters on one or two other threads who in his judgement were being deliberately dishonest and deceitful. He has been known to be equally sharp with shorts for the same reasons (on Yahoo much more so than on SI). This even though bland himself shorts stocks on occasion. His principal quarrel in both cases is with calculated, intentional deceit, with statements that are intended to mislead and possibly harm others through fear or intimidation or deliberate misinformation. There was a poster active on several political threads whom subsequent events have demonstrated to fit that description, and yes, bland was harsh with that poster, and a few who defended him/her. Bland can be, when he feels it appropriate, blunt but marvellous. That is not his purpose for being on this thread, however.
