Limtex,

Thinking back. Dr. IJ was correct so far to have carriers select their choices of 3G. Some goes for WCDMA and some goes for CDMA2000. QCOM will get the same royalty. And he expressed his concerns that the delayed in WCDMA roll out and the inferior WCDMA technology will bring to mobil wireless. He has been right all along so far.

Nokia and ERICY came out with GSM, GPRS, EDGE, and WCDMA paths to prolong their GSM life. They have done well so far too.

Time will tell. How good technology vs. marketing turns out to be?

This is another MSFT vs. Apple case study.

Best.

The countries will be the domain of the US government, and if push comes the shove, I believe they will intervene.

QCOM already has won at least 3/4's the war with 3G licensing...

The battle won't always seem to lean in our direction. We have technological superiority and patents. They have money and vaporware. The game is far from over...
