Dan,

Only a genius would spend an extra $1000 on a computer, for the privledge of owning a CPU which runs most software much slower than a $1500 computer- and have the additional bonus of a small disk and no DVD.

any machine above entry level includes DVD and a 40+ gig hard drive.

hi Dan,
how often do you use dvd on your pc?
i own one pc and two laptops with dvd...have never used them.
the only dvd in my house that ever gets used is the one on the surround sound system.
here is a tip...forget about the dvd...they are all obsolete. in 2 years the blue laser dvd will be here increasing capacity by 4x.
