Gene a lot of this is from higher natural gas prices. Electricity power uses Natural gas and Oil to run generators. Then their's the problem with yrs. of regulation in the industry will become more deregulated over time and thus market forces will reduced supply problems.

Now for the good news, i think the run is about over for higher nature gas prices.

Btw, Where's the General...never mind let'm rest!

I don't know if AG has any sense of responsibility to kick start the economy anytime soon especially for Dubya. my guess is by keeping things slow, it will hasten the shakeouts and that's what he's going for. well managed and well run companies that have adopted new technologies will benefit.
