There is still one more license that the government has reserved for CDMA2000 and one must assume that the government would allow either of the operators who have already won W-CDMA licenses to file an amendment to switch to CDMA2000. To think any of this is set in stone is premature since operators will want to start their revenue streams as soon as possible and the timeframe for W-CDMA is still much more uncertain than 3X.
