Surprised me too. Like many others, I had always considered Florida to be the land of sand and surf, only, with the bottom end nothing but swamp. There is a lot more to it than many people know about it.

Agriculture is a very big part of Florida. The state has a large deer herd also. Used to be quite a place to grow up. When I moved out of there in 77, people would always want to know why I moved into snow country. My answer was (not totally based on being a smart butt)......"to get the hell away from all the yankees".
