George--Personally, I am inclined to blame bubblevision about equally with the Greenspan Put argument (ie he'll always rescue us)--CNBC is a bull market phenomenam, just like Etrade etc is/was. The upshot is that as such, CNBC has managed to keep many people invested all the way down on the Naz stocks. Without CNBC, people would have known better and would have sold much earlier in the decline because they would have been concerned much earlier. In truth, the CNBC machine is many investors' worst 'enemy' so to speak. Long ago, I learned to turn it off completely.
