Merry Christmas to you too, Killer C.

The impending layoffs you speak of, the slowing down in the economy, the impoverishment of America, the big "R" word everyone refuses to utter are all a direct result of Mr. Grinch's "irrational exuberance" speech of last March.

Unlike the Pope who gets to keep his job for life, I believe that the new man in town will soon relieve the Grinch of his duties. The reason for this is partly payback for dad's problems and secondly because the new President needs to urgently regain control of this economy and steer it back on the right track.

Now, I don't know what the procedure is to have him replaced, whether it takes an act from Congress or whether the President himself has the authority. Maybe someone can enlighten us on this. But whatever the procedure, the Grinch will be replaced slowly and courteously so as not to further destabilize the already nervous market.

Here is for an early good-bye Mr. Grinch. Have some week old egg-nog on me.
