then here is a FWIW

In a rising market, you often find stocks that continue rising well after they make a roughly 20%-25% gain in two to three weeks after breaking out of a proper base. But that doesn't really work in a bear market. In fact, you shouldn't be investing during a bear market at all. It's tough to make money when stocks are generally under pressure. If you do buy stocks, you may develop bad habits. For example, you may sell a stock to lock in a moderate gain. But that's not necessarily what you'd want to do when we're back in a healthy market.
