> The lead free solder movement - silver use MUST increase, but none of the demand figures that I have seen seem to have considered it.

I did not find any specific number (yet) in the URLs provided. If we knew how much solder was used per year, the percent proposed for silver (looks about 3-5%), we could then calculate a number. For example, if a billion ounces of solder were used worldwide, at 3% silver that would be 30 million ounces, which would only increase silver demand about 3%. The impact might not be big enough to be included in demand projections.

The Vet... excelent research.

Are you in a position to estimate what could be the fabrication demand for silver in solders?
