"...with 200 MHz of spectrum dedicated to VoD you have 33 channels. 33 channels times 12 programs per channel gives about 400 programs. Call this 400 subscribers."

ftth- Well could it be this simple?...Lets say each VoD sub uses 4 Mbs to get a good quality video/audio. So if there are 500 subs per node, then 2,000 Mbs (4 x 500) capacity is required for 100% to watch their own VoD movie concurrently. Is this how simple it is?

If so, it means the node supporting those 500 homes, in order to do 100% VoD(any discrete streaming SDTV stream for that matter), would have to have a capcity of 2 Gbps from the node upstream to the hub.

Is this somewhat accurate? Thanks. -MikeM(From Florida)
