I saw a great bumpersticker - U.S. out of my Uterus! Not only a political statement, but I bet it kept her husband from borrowing her car. :) LOL! one of my favorites was "if men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament". I agree with your last post, don't let the government get a foot in the door on individual decisions.

Don't let them get a foot in the door. they just did, in the form of one GWB. i don't think HE, specifically, is the dangerous one. but it is the who-knows-who-low-pro-lifers that will attempt to get in and take control of power. it is now the time to step on the toe, nail and foot of these fanatics before they get too comfortable. as for the genesis of the 'pro-life' name... well when you have a band of followers believing in virgin mothers what can you expect ? santa claus ? if you call "life" chained to an unwanted baby... what life are you talking about ? the baby's, the mother's, or just another peon to enlarge the hordes of dog soldiers ? just look up the population figures of third world countries from 1950 and today. then look up the growth rates of same. we will need santa claus. --and he is not coming.

If the state is granted power over women's right to choose to abort a pregnancy, it's also getting the power over a woman's right to choose to carry to term. State-forced abortions are the other side of the coin of state-forced births. I say the state should have NO say in it either way, period. Don't let them get a foot in the door. BRAVO!!!! People should look at gun control in that same light as well. The insidious effect of those little bits of freedom lost is a very real danger to our democracy. Those who say it can't happen here are fools. K
