Buddy -- WoW-- I did not think you would ever do that,, also,, my thought is dell should be warning soon as their numbers come out a month after cpq... I'm thinking dell may be a buy around the price of cpq today. GTW, I hardly follow and never traded but if I were taking cash out of any of the 3 it would go into another sector not a competitor. Also a bottom in these must be close if not here??? Any of them look good here, even with the bad news and forcasts for the sector. For the REAL ST any may be good depending if the news between Mon & Wed is decent... good luck,,

Nutty - wow, you really are a glutton for punishment. After riding CPQ down, you transfer into the two companies in the sector with no diversification strategy, and no significant sales outside of the diseased North American PC market. Good luck...

[yawn]

Now that 8 months has passed by since I sold about 2/3 of my CPQ and split the proceeds between DELL and GTW, I decided to take another peek at the results

to-date:

Based on the actual transaction prices on 12/15/2000 to the current price:

DELL +48%
GTW -46%
CPQ -15%

Total return since the split......-1%

A little better than holding it all in CPQ!

[yaaawwwwwn]

Now back to sleep.
