To all...good thread idea. My Q is this: what is stopping some outside group from making a tender offer for enough stock to force a liquidation of some of these comapnies? I suspect these dot-dogs are not held by insiders who flipped as soon as the lockup period passed.

Alternatively, initiate a proxy battle to force liquidation; not a dissimilar strategy from successful proxy battles to force sleepy closed end funds trading at a massive discount to go open end, thus shareholders pocket the discount to NAV. Thoughts?
