Washington Post reporting that Hillary Clinton bought a mansion in Georgetown and is selling her house in New York. So her alleged connection to New York was, as we all suspected, propaganda.

Seeing the size of the house, my guess is that she isn't separating from Bill, and they know he will be pardoned if indicted. Just a hunch.

I think I've read several books about Washington that have scenes which take place in this house. It was once owned by Jacqueline Kennedy's mother, Janet Auchincloss. So my next hunch is that she is serious about running for president, possibly in 2004, perhaps depending on whether New York has a Republican governor then or not. There must be senators who come up for re-election in 2002, so if the balance of power in the Senate changes so that she won't hurt the party by leaving, she's going to run. We'd better get ready.

My worst fear is that the US is in a recession then, and she gets elected by promising more social programs, and then puts in such programs as socialized medicine. This is a very real possibility.
