Good Luck- Mephisto ******************************************** To: Mephisto who wrote (2031) From: GROUND ZERO Monday, Dec 18, 2000 1:36 PM ET Reply # of 2074 Sadly enough, you're absolutely correct...<g> there are at least hundreds, if not thousands, here who were turned away from the voting centers in Miami-Dade County even though they were legitimately registered to vote and are legal residents of Florida and are registered to vote in their home district... one of the people that was turned away is an attorney who has since started a rauckus about getting some kind of Federal investigation started... most all these people are black and say they would have voted for Gore..... when they showed up to vote and they presented their voter's registration card with everything in proper order, their names simply were not on the list to vote at that precinct, nor at any precinct for that matter..... I would not be surprised if some over zealous hard core party liners did do some tampering with the registration lists in those voting districts... it was all over the local news... I can't believe the major network news departments did not pick up this story.....GZ ********************************************************* You might want to get a transcript of the McLeher report for last Friday.
