I'd say you've nailed it. Particularly the civil suit part.
Politics could be even more of a blood sport than it has been.

I think that for the foreseeable future politicians in both parties will have to tone down the rhetoric while in public. The flamethrowers haven't fared too well in recent times.

Let's not drag Newt into this! :-)
The general prediction is for more and deadlier partisan infighting. We shall see- -whether we want to or not.
