We're in unchartered waters as no stock market has ever got so dis-proportionately out of whack in
history.

Then you should not rule out the possibility of a relatively quick recovery. It should be one of your choices. Dont get wedded to the gloom and doom philosophy as so many of us did with the now defunct "new paradyme" , however it is spelled.
And if you still believe in below 1K or nas zero, be prepared for a big rally as the powers to be fight to the death to keep the economy strong. Remember the alternative will probably be world war.

Key day tomorrow--aggressive anti-recession greenspan will provide confidence for investors(all that sideline money) and Christmas shoppers(not exactly doing badly with 4% unemployment etc). Investors and shoppers have been psychologically wounded by irrational inexuberance over the past months. But things are not that bad--what is happening is that we are dangerously close to a "self fulfilling prophecy". Need to break the chain.

Dont be surprised if nasdaq rallies in the afternoon and csco gets back close to even for the day. This would fly in the face of recent history of afternoon non-delights.
