Me, I listened to my Dad & he listens to me - and we make our own decisions. Remarkably similar.

We both did great on the run up. We both have done well (positive) amidst the pain and suffering that came after.

I expect to shift portfolio holdings again once the carnage subsides. I have a strange mix of investments right now, and plough returns back into the market.

As to upside, I've got some startup capital judiciously sprinkled about. If any of these seeds sprout the rest of the portfolio won't matter. If they fail to germinate, I can live forever off the income stream from the boring stuff.

Nice place to be. Not by accident, I assure you.

Dow strength is a reflection of reasonably priced economic health. Naz weakness is a reflection of over priced economic health. Remember all those boring old economy stocks that went nowhere? They don't have much loft to lose. Not like the naz.
