niceguy: Sounds like Dell is approaching the precipice and needs to enlist the support of a reliable supplier...and one whose products offer improved price/performance...Perhaps the palomino will provide some relief for Dell's increasingly beleaguered product lineup!!! Dell's problems were completely independent of microprocessors. The delays were due to a mouse / keyboard incompatibility and a short supply of 32MB graphics cards (they actually thought people would stick with 16MB boards in $1500+ machines). -fyo
