Kenya AA: Vaguely. But it is Coop who takes on the identity of an anonymous idealist, manipulated by reporter Stanwyck at the behest of her newspaper owner, a Col. McCormick type, only not as eccentric as the good colonel was. Coop becomes a kind of cult figure as John Doe, promoter of idealism and world peace. It all comes crashing down on him when he uncovers the truth of his backers and their designs on power. That's a terrible synopsis. The film is actually much more nuanced and complex. Regards, Lil
