I don't think I'd want to do this every year - it was just the coincidence of the time and the price that made me think of it. Besides, I could't get him what I really wanted to get him, a copy of the Isle of Lewis Chess Set from the British Museum, because they are sold out. It has to be the British Museum set, no other will do. Apparently it's the only set cast from the original pieces and all the rest are copies. I've bought two of the wrong kind and had to bring them back.
