I lived in Texas for 5 years, and until you get used to their ways, they all sound stupid.

After you get to know them, you realize that they aren't stupid at all. It's just their unfortunate accent.


Interesting. I've listened to many Texans over the years, from Lyndon Johnson to Tom Landry to Ann Richards to Willie Nelson. And doubya's the only one who sounds stupid to me. Must be specific to the region he's from.
