Dan

that would depend on definition of ramping :-)). SV expects to see 2GHz-.13 parts in 2nd half of '01. At the same time intel is reducing its capital spending on plants.

No new tools + new process = success ?

well, you never know but.....

Dan, "And last time it was a simple shrink, not their first experience with copper"
Not sure if the Tualatin uses copper or whether that's reserved for the P4. Anyway, several brokerages confirmed NO 0.13 until Q2 at the earliest and no P4 0.13 until late 2001, so I don't know where Kash is getting his "early 0.13" predictions from.

Intel has always started a new process with notebook chips, so I don't expect 0.13 to be any different.
