I gave an EXAMPLE of what a VOTE is. That's what "e.g." means. There are other things that constitute a vote too, but there were also some that the DEMOCRATS wanted to count, but legally COULD NOT. That is where the SUPREME COURT stepped in.

Now, how about showing me the section that says a vote consists of a clear detachment of the chad?

If Jesse Jackson went on television, the day before the election, and said, "chads are delicious with chicken wings", Gore would've won.
