I would hope they are doing just that. Seems to me that this is a business cycle opportunity that only comes around every 5 years or so in the computing equipment industry however this time, Dell has the added luxury of the market having low expectations with a stock price in the toilet.

If there's anytime Dell's model has an advantage it's at times like this, so they need to exploit it. As you know, increased market share has a tremendous impact which can accelerate earnings increases when capital spending becomes more aggressive.

The big question in my mind is, how much opportunity is there really, and can Dell successfully drive gains. It will also be very hard to tell if they are successful and to what extent. But if what we all know of Dell to be true, this is where they have significant advantage... something the media is currently not writing about.. at all.
