Correction...I meant GE's Jack for Secy of Defense, not Energy. Hear that John Warner turned down Secy Defense.

Poetry in Motion: UTI???

Excardog,

Too bad about the name, I thought the French escargot had possibilities.

Btw, that's not just a poem for today, that's a poem for every day in this market. Thanks to Kipling, I never quite believe I'm as smart or as dumb as the market sometimes implies. It also helps to keep in mind it's only money, and not anything really important.

A couple of interesting stocks to compare are NBR and UTI. UTI has had a spectacular run up. It used to be you could price NBR : UTI (pre-split) : PTEN at 4:3:2. Not anymore. Now it's more like 6:6:3. So, is UTI overbought or is something cooking in the patch, or is UTI's new mix of rigs and bidness worth the goose? (my rough calculation would put today's UTI stock at closer to 23 than 30).

I toss this bone out for Excardog, Big Dog and any other canines or felines to gnaw on.
